Cap d'Or — Cabo de Moraira — is the geographical point that separates the municipality of Teulada-Moraira from Calpe. From its base, on clear days, you can see the Peñón de Ifach to the north and the first ridges of Sierra de la Mola inland. Sailing through this stretch on a wooden schooner with canvas sails, with the profile of Moraira's ancient Arab castle appearing through the pines, is one of those experiences that is hard to put into words.
A full day from Moraira is the most recommended option for those who want to see everything: Cap d'Or and Cala Andrago in the morning, a lunch stop off the castle, Cala Portichol in the afternoon and back to port before sunset.
