In summer, the wind pattern at Javea favours morning sailing: the poniente (land breeze) keeps the sea surface smooth in the mornings, while the levante (sea breeze) tends to build some swell from midday onwards. Skipper Alberto manages departure times to make the most of conditions and ensure passenger comfort throughout.

What you will find on this route

• Cala Granadella — the most spectacular cove in the municipality. In high season it is packed from land; from the boat, you anchor in its calm waters with far more space and tranquility.
• Cabo de la Nao (Cap de la Nau) — the easternmost point of the province of Alicante. From the deck you can appreciate its historic lighthouse and the dramatic cliffs descending into the Mediterranean.
• Cova dels Arcs — a sea cave accessible only by boat, with limestone arches and filtered light that turns the interior into a photographer's dream.
• Portitxol — a protected rocky islet surrounded by rich seabeds: octopus, sea bream, gilt-head bream and schools of red mullet in the posidonia zone.
• Water temperature — between 25 and 28 °C from July to September.

The stretch of coastline between Javea and Cabo de la Nao is part of a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA) and priority habitats within the Natura 2000 network. Exploring it aboard a classic wooden schooner like the Josephine — at low engine speed, without jet skis or speedboats — is the most respectful and immersive way to experience it.
